THE CITY OF FRASCATI
Frascati, home of the Locanda Pinocchio,
is often called ''the pearl of the Castelli Romani.'' Long
known for its hospitality, Frascati offers visitors a
taste of life in a small, sophisticated Italian town while
being only a 25-minute train ride from the heart of Rome.
With roots going back to ancient Rome, Frascati is home
to the Scudrerie Aldobrandini Museum with its permanent
exhibit of archeological treasures as well as special
exhibitions. The gardens of the Villa Aldobrandini offer
superb landscaping, spectacular views of Rome and the
countryside, and are admired by locals and visitors alike.
Frascati also hosts many concerts, theatre productions,
a monthly antiques fair, and other special events and
festivals throughout the year. A highlight is the yearly
10-day Carnival with parades, music and seasonal culinary
specialties.
Frascati is the ideal jumping off point for visits to
the Eternal City and the other history-rich towns and
villages of the Castelli Romani.
The European Space Agency, the Italian National Nuclear
Research Institute, the Italian National Agricultural
Research Center, and the Italian Agency for New Technologies,
Energy and the Environment are located nearby.
The Locanda Pinocchio's owners/managers -- the brothers
Gaetano, Renato and Marco Blasi are third generation restaurateurs.
They offer exceptional service and will do everything
possible to make your visit memorable.
